Some time ago something happened to me that changed my life forever. I just wish I had known then what I know now…
I had been suffering from a severe form of allergies. My parents did everything they were told. After two surgeries, pills, countless drugs, and finally keeping me cooped up inside, I was still only at best getting temporary relief. I was missing out on the things I enjoyed most, camping, hiking and playing tennis. Needless to say I was frustrated and worried that this would be my future. Then, something happened that changed my life forever. A friend convinced me to see a Chiropractor.
The Chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then “adjusted” my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt good, like a big pressure release. He talked about what was causing my problem and not merely ways I could mask it up. I noticed a difference almost right away. Under his care my allergies all but disappeared. I was so excited about this approach, it worked so well that it changed the coarse of my entire education and I went to Chiropractic school myself. Looking back, it’s clear to me that meeting this Chiropractor was a turning point of my life.
Chiropractic Education
Dr. Ennis began his pre-chiropractic education at the University of Colorado where he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.
After completing his study there, he was accepted at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Whittier, CA. During his four years at LACC, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the LACC Public Clinic. After graduating in 1992, Dr. Ennis practiced in Southern California for a little while before moving to Houston.
He moved to Houston after he and his wife Reeneea discovered they were expecting a new addition to their family. It was important to them to be near family as they raised their children. He now has two children, Brandon and Linda, both of which have received Chiropractic care since they were born.
We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Ennis. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the Chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that.
